Yang Hu was so fed up with not having a girlfriend that he chopped off his own penis -because he had no real use for it. The depressed 26-year-old believed there was no chance of ever finding a partner due to his long work hours.

57-year-old woman delivers set of twins after 31 years of marriage in Ekiti

A 57 year-old teacher, Mrs Anike Ajayi, on Monday gave birth to a set of twin after 31 years of childlessness in Ekiti.The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ajayi, teaches at Muslim Grammar School, Oke-Ila, Housing Road, AdoEkiti.

National Dialogue will not lead to disintegration of Nigeria – GEJ

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday inaugurated a 13-member National Dialogue Advisory Committee with the re-assurance that the outcome of the assignment would not lead to the disintegration of the country.

In an address at the ceremony held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Jonathan said the conference would not negotiate the integrity of the nation.He assured that the outcome would further strengthen national unity and address inequalities and injustices, among others.

“For me, there is no alternative to inclusivity, equity and justice in a modern democratic state.

“I will therefore like to allay the fears of those who think the conference will call the integrity of Nigeria into question.

9 year old boy hops plane to Vegas, alone and without ticket

A 9 year old boy did the unthinkable in the US last week; he went through airport security with other passengers, and hopped on a flight to Las Vegas on his own without a plane ticket.

The Transportation Security Administration officials said they are still trying to figure out how he did it. CNN reports
Patrick Hogan, a spokesman for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, said the crew of Delta Flight 1651 "became suspicious of the child's circumstances" during the flight from Minneapolis to Las Vegas. Crew members got in touch with authorities in Las Vegas and turned the boy over to Child Protective Services, Hogan said in a statement.

Gunmen storm Kenyan shopping mall, at least 22 people killed

Gunmen stormed a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya this afternoon Saturday September 21 killing at least 22 people in what could possibly be a terrorist attack. An eyewitness claimed the gunmen told Muslims to stand up and leave the mall and that only non-Muslims would be targeted. By the time they finished shooting indiscriminately, at least 22 were dead and at least 50 people injured.

One survivor said and that the attackers started from the Westage mall ground floor and made their way to the top. He said they had grenades and AK-47 rifles and he saw at least five of them. Local TV stations reported that the gunmen took hostages as soldiers and local policemen surrounded the mall. Another survivor said he was shot at by a man who looked like a Somali.
The Somali militant group al Shabaab had previously threatened to attack hotels, nightclubs and the Westgate mall, which is one of the biggest malls in the city, popular with the city's expatriate and foreigners...but there's no official confirmation for now that the group is behind this attack.
Security guards were seen wheeling out bloodstained bodies in shopping trolleys as soldiers continue to comb the mall looking for the gunmen. Kenyan Red Cross said at least 20 have been killed and more casualties were still inside the complex. More pics after the cut

Private jet owners barred from govt terminal

Barely three months after unveiling a new policy for general aviation, which barred private jet owners from carrying their friends and associates, the Federal Government has stopped private jet owners and chartered jet operators from using the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos for foreign travels.

The order, which has taken effect, was conveyed through a memo from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to the heads of all the security agencies operating at the MMIA.Airport sources said some private jet owners and chartered jet operators had stopped travelling through the international wing of the MMIA.

As a result, private jet owners and chartered jet passengers travelling out and coming into the country will not go through the required security screening, including that of the Immigration, Customs, narcotics control and the State Security Service at the MMIA.
