Kerry Washington secretly married her boyfriend of a year, San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24 in
Blaine County, Idaho.
The Blaine County Recorder’s Office confirmed to ABC News that a marriage license was issued for the couple at 9:16 a.m. on June 24.
Before today, it hadn’t even been reported that the two were dating, better yet married for more than a week.
Washington, 36, was engaged to actor David Moscow from 2004 to 2007. She recently made headlines appearing on the cover of the August edition of Vanity Fair, the first black woman on the cover of the magazine since Beyonce in 2005.
Asomugha, 31, is a three-time Pro Bowler, who previously played for the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles before signing with the 49ers earlier this year.
