The FRSC on Monday said it had introduced online certification of fresh drivers performance for licence issuance under its Driving School Standardisation Programme (DSSP).
Speaking at a three-day workshop in Osogbo, FRSC Corps Marshal, Mr Osita Chidoka, said the DSSP Website application would help monitor training activities in driving schools.
Chidoka, who was represented FRSC’s Head of Section, Manpower Development, Samuel Obayemi, said
online operation and certification would be accessed by only proprietors and instructors of certified driving schools.
He also urged driving school operators to register their students with the commission through the website and subsequently update their activities.
The FRSC boss added that a performance certificate would be generated and issued automatically from the commission’s website to a student once the driving test was passed.
While the commission would issue a certificate to students, he said the final verification test and certificate from the Vehicle Inspection Officer would determine if a driver’s licence would be issued.
