Chris Brown set to quit music???

The lead-up to the release of the singer's sixth album has been filled with controversy. Yesterday (Aug. 5), he turned himself into a Los Angeles county jail in connection with his recent hit-and-run incident. According to MTV, Brown was booked and then released after 42 minutes with no bail.Chris Brown has denied the charges of hit-and run (leaving the scene of the accident without exhanging appropriate information) and driving without a valid license, tweeting that the claims are "really ridiculous."

"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous," he tweeted on June 25. "She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures."

After allegations of the hit-and-run case emerged in June, Brown's probation, for his 2009 assualt on RIhanna, was revoked.Chris Brown is scheduled to return for another hearing on Aug. 16 to determine if he violated the terms of his probation in connection to the
hit-and-run case. The singer hasn't addressed his jail time on Twitter, but his recent tweets, promising a retirement from music, seem to stem from the media's focus on his assault charge.
